The City of Bangor has closed the East and West Kenduskeag Plaza parking lots this morning, after an ice jam has moved downstream. Anyone with a vehicle in either of those parking lots is asked to move it immediately.

A message on the city of Bangor's website this morning says that an ice jam above Harlow Street bridge has moved into the Kenduskeag Plaza. Since the Penobscot is ice bound, it can go no further, so there's a danger of flooding.

The parking areas behind the Penobscot Judicial Center, the Pickering Square Parking Garage, and Camden National Bank will be closed until high tide passes. Bangor Police plan to notify us when the danger has passed and the parking areas are reopened.
