Bangor police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect connected to a bank robbery this afternoon. The robbery happened at around 2:30 on Broadway.

Sergeant Cathy Rumsey said in a press release that a white male suspect entered the Maine Savings Federal Credit Union this afternoon and presented a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He did not display a weapon.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, approx 5’5” tall with a thin build.  He was wearing a dark blue zip up hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a ball cap on.  He was wearing blue jeans and black sneakers.  The suspect was also wearing aviator style sunglasses and had some sort of white cloth covering his face.

He was last seen fleeing on foot from the back side of the bank towards TJ Maxx. Maine State Police units responded with a K-9 and attempted a track of the suspect.  Based on the K-9’s track it's believed the suspect entered a vehicle in the parking lot of TJ Maxx and left the area.
