A great job by the crew at Bangor Hydro Electric Company to get just about everyone's power back on, in pretty brutal conditions.

Here's the 4 AM Power Outage Update. Remember you can always see the live outage map by clicking HERE

Description of Event:

High Winds and Wind Gusts
Estimated Number of Meters Affected: 44
Hancock: 1
Northern Penobscot/Piscataquis County:6
Penobscot: 37
Washington:0
Restoration Details:Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service crews worked throughout the night to restore service to a majority of customers following a wind storm that wreaked havoc on much of Maine Sunday. At the height of the event Bangor Hydro had just over 4,700 customers out. Northern Maine experienced high winds but that service area wasn't as widely affected by outages. At this hour 44 customers, mostly in the Hudson-Corinth area, are out and crews are correcting that issue to bring those people back on line; the remaining ones will require daylight in order to safely restore their service.

Customers are reminded to never touch a downed line or a tree in contact with one, and those using alternate heating sources should be sure to follow manufacturer safety precautions.

Other Related Information:Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling our Customer Service Centers at 1-800-440-1111 (Central and Downeast Maine) and 877-655-4448 (Northern Maine). Information is also available on Bangor Hydro's live outage and restoration map found at www.bangorhydro.com. Customers may also follow us on Twitter and on our mobile site, www.bhe.com/m.
Estimated Time of Service Restoration:6:00 a.m. - although a handful customers won't be restored until after daybreak when crews can work in daylight.
