AYS Basketball Tryouts

With the fantastic fall that we have had, it's hard to believe that the winter sport's season is right around the corner. As I write this, Thanksgiving is 5 weeks away from today, and our first basketball games on AM 1370 WDEA will be on November 25th and 26th during the MDI Thanksgiving Tip-Off Tourney.

A successful high school basketball team starts with a great foundation, the elementary and middle school teams! To that extent, the Acadian Youth Sports League has set it's tryout dates for the 2016-17 season. The Acadian Youth Sports League serves families in Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Mount Desert, Northeast Harbor, Tremont and Trenton.

Tryouts will take place on Sunday, October 30th with all tryouts being held at Bernard Parady Gymnasium at MDI High School. Tryouts times are as follows

9-10 AM - 5/6 Girls
10-11 AM - 5/6 Boys
11-12 PM - 7/8 Girls
12-1 PM - 7/8 Boys

Date and times for the 3/4 Girls and Boys Teams have not been solidifed.
