AYS 5/6 Girls 2nd

The AYS Girl's 5/6 Basketball Team finished 2nd in the Hampden Basketball Tournament this past weekend, winning 5 of 6 games. Coached by Sara Carroll these girls not only learned about basketball but they learned a more important lesson. That lesson... The Island supports and takes care of it's own! You see these girls all had ribbons on their shoulders in honor of David Gray! So it didn't matter if they came in first or last, they already won!

For the record, the girls beat Hampden B, Dexter, and Hall Dale on Saturday. Today, they beat Gardiner and Augusta  then lost in championship game against Hampden A
