I am looking forward to attending the 2016 Asticou Azalea Garden Lantern Stroll this Wednesday, July 20th in Northeast Harbor, hosted by the Land and Garden Preserve

The event, which takes place Wednesday July 20th from 7:30 to 9 PM. Come experience the beauty of the Garden at night at it is transformed into a magical place. Paper lanterns will hang gracefully throughout the garden, illuminating the pathways and floating lanterns will glide across the pond. Traditional Japanese Koto music will be played by Wendilee Heath O'Brien.

In keeping with the Acadia Centennial Theme, the 2016 Lantern Stroll will pay homage to Charles Savage, creator of the garden and 3rd generation of innkeepers who opened their homes to the early rusticators, welcomed summer residents and were the forebears of the Island's thriving hospitality industry.

Suggested donation is $5.00 per person. The address of the Garden is 3 Sound Drive in Northeast Harbor.
