Last night on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, President Obama appeared and took part in a recurring segment, where celebrities read mean tweets about themselves. You can see the video below.

My question though, is it appropriate for the President of the United States to do something like this? I know times have changed, and presidents and candidates use late night talk shows to reach out to voters directly. But is it beneath the Office of the President? I don't mean to come off as some old fuddy-duddy, and it doesn't matter whether I "like" President Obama or not. If it had been President Bush, I would still feel a bit uncomfortable with it. I think the whole thing dates back to MTV when they did their rock the vote segments and someone asked President Clinton or candidate Clinton if he wore boxers or briefs.
