Annual Youth Ice Fishing Day Event Is Sunday January 31st

The 7th Annual Youth Ice Fishing Day will now take place on Sunday, January 31st, at Lake George State Park! This is a great event for kids to learn how to ice fish, and it's FREE for everyone under 12 years of age!

Between 8am and 2pm all equipment and bait will be provided, and folks from the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands will be there to show the kids how it's done!

There will be a plus BBQ lunch, hot cocoa and a warming hut, plus prizes for all registered children!  Of course everyone else are welcome too, the cost is only $1.50 for folks between the ages of 12 and 64.

Lake George State Park in Liberty may be a road trip for you, but the event is on a Sunday and well worth the drive to this beautiful area! Let's hope that Mother Nature keeps it cold and provides plenty of ice for us!
