Nothing says summer for many like going antiquing and finding that rare treasure that will remind you of summer all year long. If you head is nodding to that you need to plan a trip to Ellsworth this week because what they bill as America’s longest running summer antiques show starts tomorrow 8/13 and runs through 8/15 at the Woodlawn Museum. This show will feature 28 dealers from Maine and across the United States.  The antiques dealers will present an array of quality antiques and art.  Woodlawn’s webpage says to expect fine examples of American and English furniture and accessories, American paintings and watercolors, Native American material, quilts, prints, rare books, ceramics, folk art, silver, jewelry, and oriental rugs will be among the items for sale.

Show admission is $15 including tour of the museum or $10 for show only.

And plan to stay for lunch as Chippers Black House Café will be serving lobster rolls, salads, entrees, hot and cold sandwiches, and wine and beer 11am-4pm.
