The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has issued an air quality alert for Coastal Hancock County including the higher elevations of Acadia National Park from 10AM to 10PM on Tuesday July 3rd.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection recommends that individuals consider  taking more breaks and do less intense activities. Watch for symptom such as coughing or shortness of breath. Asthmatics should follow their action plans and keep quick relief medications nearby. Those with a heart disease should watch for palpitations, shortness of breath or unusual fatigue and contact your health provider if necessary.
