The Acadian Senior League All Star Team, representing Maine fell to the host New Jersey District 15 on Thursday afternoon 7-4 in the Eastern Senior League Regional Tournament.  They will now play the loser of the New Jersey-New York game on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:30 AM.

The Acadians jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Matt Perconti walked with 2 out in the 2nd inning and advanced on Drew Shea's single. He scored on a passed ball.

Glassboro scored 3 runs in the top of the 3rd, but the Acadians answered with another run in the bottom of the 3rd inning. With 1 out Nick Stanley reached on an error and scored on Jacob Mitchell's single.

Glassboro added another run in the top of the 5th, and Maine answered in the bottom of the 5th to make the score 4-3. Finn McConomy singled, stole 2nd, reached 3rd on a passed ball and scored on a ground out by Jacob Mitchell.

Glassboro added 3 runs in the top of the 7th, but Maine could only score 1 run in the bottom of the 7th inning. In the bottom of the 7th McConomy singled, stole 2nd and 3rd and scored on Nick Stanley's single.

Andrew Kennedy pitched 4 innings for Maine allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 of which was earned. He struck out 2 and walked 1. Alden Fournier pitched the final 3 innings allowing 4 runs, 2 of which were earned, 1 hit and walked 2.

The Acadians committed 5 errors and left 11 runners on base.

Finn McConomy, Nick Stanley, Alden Fournier, Jacob Mitchell, Drew Shea and Liam Sullivan all had singles for Maine.  McConomy had 3 stolen bases.

Maine is now 0-1 in the double elimination tournament.

Seth Clark and Derek Collin.  The team is coached by Andy Pooler, Kyle McKim and Mac Shea.
