Acadians Defeat Ellsworth 6-4

After a brief delay because of thunder, lightning and hail, the Acadian Minor League All-Star Team defeated the Ellsworth All-Starts 6-5 in extra innings on Wednesday, June 28th in Ellsworth.

Spencer Grierson picked up the win in relief and Colin Sullivan the save pitching the bottom of the 7th inning for the Acadians.

Tyler Edlund went 2-4 and hit an inside the park 2 run homer in the top of the 7th inning, with 2 outs, when the score was tied 4-4. Spencer Grierson, Alex Roos, Sawyer Worcester and Rykin Hamor all had hits for the Acadians.

Ellsworth out hit the Acadians 7-6.

The Acadians host Machias on Friday, June 30th while Ellsworth's next game is against Bucksport.
