Acadian Minors Win 1st Playoff Game

Congratulations to the Acadian Minors All-Star Baseball Team which won their first playoff game on Thursday, June 30th, defeating Calais 5-2. The Acadians are now 1-0 in the double elimination tourney to see who represents District 1 in the Maine Playoffs.

According to the report we received from Eric Ankrom, the Manager of the 9-10 All-Star Team, Noah Keeley pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out 10, while walking 3 and allowing just 1 run. Evan Ankrom struck out 2 to close out the game in the 6th. Special shout out to the defensive play by Joey Wellman-Clouse at 3rd base that brought both sides to their feet and was worthy of an ESPN Top 10 play!

The Acadians next play Coastal on Tuesday, July 5th in Bar Harbor at 5 PM.

The Acadian 9-10 All-Star Roster is comprised of : Evan Ankrom, Aiden Grant, Alex Gray Jay Haney, Cal Hodgdon, Noah Keeley, Spencer Laurendeau, Henry Lester, Jacob Shields Sam Sinclair, Jameson Weir, and Joey Wellman-Clouse  The Acadians are managed by  Eric Ankrom and coached by  Nick Grant and Jason Hodgdon.
