Acadian Minors Lose to Machias

The Acadian Minor (9-10) All Star Team lost to Machias on Friday, July 8th, 17-6, in a game that was resumed after it was suspended on Thursday because of rain. The Acadians are now 2-1 in the double elimination tournament, and will next play the winner of the Ellsworth-Coastal game on Monday, July 11th. The Ellsworth-Coastal game is scheduled to be played on Saturday.

The Acadians were in a big hole when play resumed, as they were trailing 13-6. According to Coach Erick Ankrom , Evan Ankrom pitched the last 3 innings giving up 3 unearned runs and the Acadians played better defensively than on Thursday with Sam Sinclair making 3 sterling plays at second base and Jay Haney also making 2 web gems in center field on some big fly balls and gunned down a runner at third from deep center field.

The Acadian 9-10 All-Star Roster is comprised of : Evan Ankrom, Aiden Grant, Alex Gray Jay Haney, Cal Hodgdon, Noah Keeley, Spencer Laurendeau, Henry Lester, Jacob Shields Sam Sinclair, Jameson Weir, and Joey Wellman-Clouse  The Acadians are managed by  Eric Ankrom and coached by  Nick Grant and Jason Hodgdon.
