None of these boys were alive when the Bee Gees had the hit "Stayin' Alive" but that song could very well be the soundtrack for the Acadian Majors 11-12 baseball team this summer! The Acadians defeated Coastal 4-1 on Monday, July 11th to stay alive in the double elimination District 1 Tournament.

The Acadians have advanced out of the Loser's Bracket and will now play Ellsworth in the Championship Round. Ellsworth is undefeated, so for the Acadians to advance, they will have to beat Ellsworth twice. One win by Ellsworth and they will win District 1. Ellsworth and the Acadians will play Wednesday, July 13th at DeMayer Field in Ellsworth at 5:30 PM.

Quentin Pileggi threw a 86 pitch complete game, striking out 9 and walking 2. He allowed 3 hits in 6 innings.

The Acadians plated 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning. Pileggi, Cedare Ellis,  and Tucker James all singled and all scored. Jack Hodgdon had a double.

In the 5th inning AJ Lozano singled and scored on Pileggi's double.

The Acadian Major roster is comprised of Wilder Noyes, Ryan Davis, AJ Lozano, Luke Horner, Quentin Pileggi, Cedare Ellis, D’Angelo Redi, Austin Wedge, Alex Fernatld, Jack Hodgdon, Austin Raymon, Tucker James and Bing Shields.

And just in case you don't remember the 1977 Bee Gees' hit Stayin' Alive here you go!
