The Acadians 9-10 Baseball Team staked Machias Red to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning, but settled down to beat them 5-3 and win the Bob Dorr Tournament in Ellsworth on Monday, June 27th.

The Acadians Colin Sullivan and Spencer Grierson combined for a 1 hitter, with Tyler Alley spoiling the no-hitter in the top of the 5th inning in a very close play at 1st base!

The Acadians scored all 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning, and it would have been more if not for the 5 run inning rule. With the Acadians up 4-3 with the bases loaded, Spencer Grierson hit a grand slam home run, but only 1 run counted.

The Acadians had 3 hits, Grierson with a homer, and Nick Roos and Matthew Levesque each had singles.

Colin Sullivan pitched 2 innings and Grierson pitched 4 innings for the Acadians.

Mickey Fitzsimmons, Clay Crossman and Tyler Alley pitched for Machias Red.

The Acadians were managed by Kyle McKim and coached by Tony McKim. The roster was comprised of Spencer Grierson, Colin Sullivan, Bowdoin Allen, Matthew Levesque, Aidan Mitchell, Nick Jacobs, Aiden Dow, Josh Wedge, Jack Seavey, Jonah Denning, Nick Roos and Alex Roos
