WDEA's Chris Popper met with Joanna Robinson-Clarke from the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, and the Abbe is excited to announce, that thanks through a partnership with a Climate to Thrive the Abbe Museum will be installing Electric Vehicle charging stations in the parking lot behind the museum.

These two spots will be the first publicly accessible, no cost EV charging stations in downtown Bar Harbor. Installation of the stations will be conducted by MCM Electric and ReVision Energy, and funding for the installation will come from A Climate to Thrive. Installation is expected to take place Spring 2019.

The station will be composed of two Clipper Creek HCS-40R 32A Ruggedized Level II chargers, and will serve two spaces next to the accessible parking in the museum’s otherwise private rear parking lot.
