6500 Without Power in Machias Area

Emera Maine (formerly Bangor Hydro Electric Company) issued an update this morning, Saturday, January 4th  that as 7:30 AM  6500 customers in the Machias area were without power.

Areas affected include Machias, East Machias, Whiting, Cutler, Lubec and surrounding communities. Line workers are on en route and will work to get everyone restored as quickly and safely as possible.
