The Waldo County Sheriff's Office is investigating two accidents that left three people dead.

Both accidents happened Saturday morning. The first was at 1:20, when deputies responded to a fatal car accident on the Loggin Road in Frankfort and found a single vehicle rollover crash. 29-year-old Michael Butler of Winterport was alone in the vehicle and died at the scene.

The second accident happened just after 5:00 Saturday morning, on Route 1 in Prospect, near the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a single-vehicle crash involving a sedan that failed to negotiate a corner after exiting the bridge. Killed in the accident were 39-year-old Daniel Huntington of New Jersey and 37-year-old Sarah Brown of Monroe. Two others, 22-year-old Alexander Brown and 45-year-old Roger Brown, both of Prospect, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both accidents are still being investigated.
