The 2014 Hurricane Season lasts from June 1 through November 30th, 2014. This year, the Hurricane Season is expected to be less active than normal. The Weather Channel in March  was calling for 11 named storms, 5 hurricanes, and 2 major hurricanes. Two factors—cooler-than-average waters in the eastern Atlantic, and the likelihood of an El Nino developing during the summer of 2014.

Here are the list of names that will be used for Tropical Storms/Hurricanes in 2014

Arthur, Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gonzalo, Hanna, Isaias, Josephine, Kyle, Laura, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paulette, Rene, Sally, Teddy, Vicky, and Wilfred

It's interesting to note, that these same names will be used in 2020, as the names are reused every 6 years, unless a name is "retired" for being so deadly or costly that the future use of its name on a different storm would be inappropriate for reasons of sensitivity.
