If you were a child or older in the '70's you probably remember CB Radios. Today, October 4th is National CB Radio Day, designated by President Jimmy Carter!

Every trucker had a CB Radio! I remember my grandparents had one, as they used to drive back and forth from Massachusetts to Florida and their handle was "Blue Crab". You used to go on Channel 19 and go "Smokey Hunting" looking for police radar traps, and they would be passed up and down to oncoming motorists.

CB Radios gave birth to the movie Convoy, and was the impetus for Smokey and the Bandit staring Bert Reynolds and Jackie Gleason, Sally Field and others! The song "Convoy" was #1 on both the Pop and Country Charts!
